Week Seven...it's all about NSVs

I've ALMOST reached the coveted 10% loss of original body weight...2.6 lbs. to go... AND another 1 lb. lost will mean a total of 20 lbs. weight loss since I started WW back in March! Another 28.8 lbs. to go till I reach my goal (another 6 months if all goes as planned....it probably won't).

Weight +/- : -1.0

Current Weight 170.8
Hours Exercised: 6 Hours

What I learned today:

NSV--Yay for me!
an NSV or a non-scale victory is a way to measure your success at weight loss when the scale doesn't budge in your favor.

What an awesome way to measure success!

Here is what one lady said about NSVs:
"To me, NSVs are a symbol of our new identity as we become healthier. As we progress, our measure of success becomes more about ourselves and less about the scale. That's when you know you've made a lifelong commitment".

LOVE. IT. On my way to making a lifelong commitment.

Some of my NSVs
  • I can run for a 1/2 hour straight at a 10 minute per mile pace without stopping (back in January I couldn't run a block without having to stop and catch my breath).
  • My watch is looser on my wrist
  • I had to buy a smaller pant size in May and now they are getting baggy too...
  • Megan says I look hot...maybe it's the new glasses...maybe it's the weight loss....maybe it's both.
  • My swim suit is definitely fits better than it did last summer.
  • I don't ever feel deprived because I plan ahead for all my breakfasts, dinners, treats, and eating out.
Before I sign off here is another fantabulous recipe actually recipes:

Some "hot couples" a la Hungry Girl ( I know I'm obsessed!)
  • Green Giant Just for One Broccoli & Cheese Sauce + Baked Potato= yum
  • Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese + Salsa: nuke one wedge with 1/2 cup salsa till warm...dunk things into it....then eat.
  • Jello-O Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding Snack (in the refrigerator section) + reduced fat peanut butter: soften the PB for a few seconds in the microwave, and then stir into pudding. "Somewhere a peanut butter cup is getting jealous. This is a fact."
